Tour details
Nothing in Sintra is obvious. Perhaps that's what makes it so fascinating. Between the intense green of the mountains and the mist that seems to have been handpicked, lies a village that needs no effort to be magical. It's no fantasy: it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site! Colorful palaces on top of the hills, gardens that look like labyrinths of stories, and that elegant silence that only places with soul have. The Pena Palace is the icon, but the real beauty is in the details - in the narrow streets, the buttery-smelling pastry shops and the views that change at every turn. Sintra is a real setting, but it seems dreamed up. And when you leave, you get the feeling that it never told you everything.Included

Itinerary
Colorful, bold and impossible to ignore - the Pena Palace is Sintra's great icon. At the top of the mountain, it seems to almost float above the greenery, with towers and domes that mix styles, colors and cultures. Built in the 19th century by Ferdinand II, a king with a passion for art and freedom, it was one of the first great works of romanticism in Europe. The most curious thing? The palace was designed as a creative haven, where imagination could be greater than reason - and you can see why. Every detail is a surprise: tiles, arches, views that are lost on the horizon. Pena is more than a palace - it's the portrait of a dream turned into stone.
At the top of the mountain, shrouded in mist and intense green, the Moorish Castle seems suspended in time. Erected more than a thousand years ago by the Arabs who dominated the region, it served as a point of defense - and the view explains everything: from here they could control the valley, Lisbon and even the sea. When Sintra was conquered by the Christians, the castle was abandoned, but never forgotten. Centuries later, King Ferdinand II fell in love with its ruins and had them restored - the same king who created the Pena Palace. They say that, on clear days, you can even see Cape Espichel. Climbing the ramparts is to experience history and nature at their best - literally.

Quinta da Regaleira is the most mysterious side of Sintra - a place where nothing is quite as it seems. Built by António Augusto Carvalho Monteiro, an eccentric man with a passion for symbolism, it is a veritable labyrinth of symbols and secrets. The highlight is the famous Well of Initiation, an inverted tower that descends nine stories into the earth and where each step represents an inner journey. It is said that rituals linked to Freemasonry and the search for knowledge were performed there. Between gardens, caves, tunnels and gothic palaces, Regaleira blends art, nature and mystery like no other place in Portugal. A place that challenges the eye - and invites you to imagine what has never been said.
Sintra's historic center looks like something out of a postcard: colorful, vibrant and full of life. Between sloping alleys and flower-covered façades, you'll find old stores, small galleries and cafés with the sweet aroma of freshly baked pillows. The National Palace dominates the town, a reminder that here past and present live side by side.
In Sintra, taste is also part of the experience. The travesseiros and queijadas, icons of local confectionery, are made according to recipes that go back generations. Created by the historic Casa Piriquita, the travesseiros are light and crispy, with a delicate almond and egg filling, while the queijadas combine fresh cheese and cinnamon in a perfect balance.
Return to the hotel, concluding the tour with a special souvenir to remember the experience.
